the publication of Imagining Violet.
Book Launch at the Salt Spring Library, Tuesday November 27th at 1:30 p.m. with music by Salt Strings.
Imagining Violet is my first work of historical fiction. It's written as a series of letters and it's based on the life of my paternal grandmother who was born in 1875.
At the age of 16, Violet Courtenaye went on her own to Germany
to study violin. An intrepid young woman, I thought, and decided it
would be an interesting challenge to imagine her life in Leipzig, in the 1890s.
